"Tea does not judge itself, people judge the tea."

Renowned as the finest white tea among the Chinese people, Silver Needle (Bai Hao Yin Zhen – literally “White Hair Silver Needle”) has the rare combination of breathtakingly beautiful leaves and a magnificent taste that satisfies both the lover of savory and sweet. The initial sight, smell, and sip almost overshadow the extensive list of health benefits that originally made this tea famous. Drinking Silver Needle tea will cause you to feel as dignified as nobility, and its anti-aging properties will have you laughing at the days to come.

Thanks to our growing relationship with organic small-family farmers in the Northern Fujian province of China, we are excited to offer this extremely rare and exclusive award-winning tea. The best white tea comes from the first flush – or first harvest – that takes place between late March and early April, sometimes taking up just two days out of the year. This is called the imperial harvest. Because our Silver Needle comes from the imperial harvest, only limited quantities are available.

Steeping should be longer than other white teas; up to 5 minutes per brew, and the volume of tea to be used can be higher.
